It's comfortable and slicey, and a great EDC that looks more expensive than it is.

My first EDC knife

My first EDC knife
After shopping around, I chose the Kizer Lieb as my first EDC knife. I was looking for a small, quality knife with smooth reliable opening action. In the many video reviews, the Lieb caught my eye because of the micarta scales and shape of the blade. I've been using it for about a week now and it fits my needs perfectly. The action is crisp and snappy. The detente seems strong to me. One thing to be aware of is that the tip of the blade may scrape your palm when opening, so I adjusted my grip to accommodate. The easiest and safest method is to open like a bic lighter.

I love this knife. It doesn't say in the item description, but this is an improved model vs the previous version. Key improvements: jimping on the flipper tab, a milled show side liner for lighter weight, true deep carry pocket clip, better sharpening choil area, and they reversed the pivot screws so the smooth stud is showing. KIzer is listening to the feedback and responding! The detent is firm and super snappy. The balance point is right at the finger choil so it feels solid in hand. Very well designed. The micarta scales look like woodgrain! I used mineral oil to darken the scales so it looks like walnut. Great value, great carry.

Update: July 2022. Still snappy, looks great - not tactical. It has a nice heft and looks like it cost a lot more than it does. I like to carry this when I want to show off a hidden gem. I re-oil the scales every now and then.

Small but solid knife. The brown micarta has just enough grippy texture and has a beautiful wood look. The blade came razor sharp and is a very useful shape. Flipper deployment was a little stiff but it pops open with some serious authority. I sanded the detente hole just slightly and it flicks open a little easier now, but you don't really need to. I carry a small pocket organizer with a mini pen and flashlight and the Lieb fits it perfectly. The Lieb is my first Kizer but it won't be my last.

Got this on a hope since the price was very good for the quality. Turned out to be even better than expected. The interesting blade shape works very well in a knife this size. Punches way out of its size/weight class. The micarta is really really nice, just enough texture but softly rounded in all the right places. The deep carry clip allows this blade to disappear in the pocket, even the coin pocket of jeans. The flipper deploys like a cannon snapping into place with the most satisfying sound. That its one weak point though. If you try to slow roll the deployment you will not get full engagement of the lock which is sub-optimal and dangerous. A wrist snap with authority from this condition will usually fix the issue, but it is problematical. I believe the lock bar needs to be ground down a smidge to get better lockup whether it be normal full deployment or a weak partial. Took a star for the lock bar issues, otherwise this may be my favorite small knife to carry which is saying something as I own the Dragonfly in ZDP and the Kizer Microlith which are both fantastic in this regard.

Update: After carrying this more often than not since Christmas, I have to say that the lock bar issue has pretty well been self correcting with break-in and use. For me this is the perfect everyday carry blade in most every way that matters. I have others I use for certain situations or dress styles, but this is my go to 95% of the time.

I really liked this knife. In fact, it was my favorite. It looked great and had buttery smooth flipping action. Fit perfectly in my 5th pocket.
    Why the one star review?
    Please read on!
The knife was barely used (can tell by the two pictures). It looked too good to mar up. I carried my rat one for tasks at work, etc. Then in the middle of July....(had purchased knife at the end of may), I noticed there was no resistance when trying to flip the knife open rendering knife unsafe and unusable. Upon further inspection, I realized the detent ball had fell out!! Should never happen!!
(See last pic) it clearly shows detent ball is gone.
I reached out to the seller Mojave inc. and even offered to fix it myself if they sent me the tiny dang detent ball.
They directed me to their after sales service sense the 30 day period was up.
I emailed Mojave outdoor once on 7-20-22 and then again on 7-28-22. explaining the issues I had with plenty of pictures and I got absolutely no response, NOTHING. I was plenty polite and very detailed in my correspondence.
So I then reached back out to the seller on 8-8-22 hoping they could help me resolve the issue. They offered me a coupon (no idea of the amount?) On a future purchase.
Heck no!!!! I'm not buying another kizer knife when they DON'T stand behind their limited lifetime warranty of workmanship defects which this clearly is. Which sux because they have so many nice knives and I am just getting started on this hobby. Thankfully Amazon customer service was very helpful and offered me full refund upon receiving the knife back.

I am now going to give my hard earned cash to companies like Civivi and TwoSun from now on.

Recap, great knife but you better hope and pray you don't need support after the sale cause in my case it was nothing but the run a round and crickets.
I would NOT recommend this brand to anyone.
