This camera takes pretty good pictures, as show in my example. The problem is that everything else about this camera just pure sucks ass. To start with, the motion sensor is ENTIRELY too sensitive. It picks up every single leaf, swaying blade of grass, and rain drop. That's all well and good, except this is a trail camera and is designed to be set up in the woods... which are full of leaves and grass. As a result, it just turns into a time lapse camera. Set it up overnight and you'll be pleased to discover it takes ~1000 crystal clear images of absolutely nothing. Crystal clear that is unless it rains, then the lens fogs up and you capture a foggy gray photo of nothing.Moving on, let's talk about the absolutely infuriating user interface. The buttons work very poorly, and the same button seems to inexplicably change functions at random. For instance, the down button you use to scroll through your photos also randomly turns into a magnifying function of some kind. Then sometimes the buttons just stop working altogether and you have to power cycle the unit.Overall I'm disappointed with the quality of this unit even at the low price point. Spend a little more money and buy something that doesn't suck as much.***UPDATE*** I gave this cam the benefit of the doubt so I set it up again last night. The field I'm observing is freshly bush hogged now and the wind is calm so no more swaying weeds or whatever. I also put a piece of frosted scotch tape over the optical sensor to tone it down a bit. Guess what I had on the camera this moring? 1,000 crystal clear pictures of absolutely nothing, again. It goes off basically every 30 seconds, and no it's not configured to do that. It's set up for motion triggering.This thing really just isn't good. Maybe mine is just bad, I don't know. I'm gonna take them up on their offer to return it, though.***UPDATE #2*** They just offered to accept my return.... for a $12 shipping fee! That's right, you pay $50 for a camera that doesn't work, and they graciously offer to replace it with another one that also might not work for $12.

    Purchased this a few days ago. Was very curious and interested in this camera. Not for the regular use of wildlife or hunting or anything like that. I am in a paranormal group, and I always like to get new equipment and try it out to see if it is something that cold function well. I also have a ghost in my home.... believe me or not... your call. Anyways... I haven't caught anything in my house yet... seems to be dormant... but it has worked well. I have actually set it up and forgotten about it. when i go back to look at snap shot or video, it has done what it has suppose to do... basically capturing me and i move about my house. It shoots 12mp camera mode, and up to 1080p video more. Pictures are a little fuzzy, but it's somewhat expected as its capturing movement. Video looks pretty sharp. I have tested both daytime and night. the infrared images capture a lot of detail pending where it's placed, or how you have it positioned. Same with the camera. I am excited to test this out in the field. I have purchased action cameras (go pro style cameras) from the same company and haven't had any issues. Would recommend, whether its for the interested wildlife/hunting purposes or for something a little more out there.

    Update: was finally able to use camera for what I purchased for. and caught some stuff. I also wanted to say... haven't had camera for to long, and minimal use... but the clasps that lock it tight... one has already broken... where the metal piece fits in to clip... the plastic holding it in has fallen away... not thrilled about it. Camera works good though.. thats the only improvement i see that would make it better.

    Good Trail Camera for the price! Takes great day time photos. My only complaint is the IR 'hot spot' that shows up at night is a very small area about 20 feet in front of the camera. The spot is about 6 feet in diameter. If the animal is not in that area, then you most likely will not get a good picture or not a picture at all of the animal. Daytime photos are great and as good as any camera.

    I wanted to wait until I had some real things to talk about with this camera. I can say it is compact and looks nice. However there are some real problems with the unit. The first one I encountered was the SD card. It is very difficult to remove. If mfg. would have supplied a tool to grab the card it would help. The last item is one of importance if you are planning on nighttime use. The pictures are very grainy and the flash is extremely limited in distance. Beyond 10 feet it is useless and even within that short distance it is hard to identify what is in the picture. I know I gave it a 3 star, that is because the daytime pictures are acceptable. If you are a hunter, look elsewhere, you will not be happy with this unit.
    I was contacted about the unit by the company. They really want to please the buyer. They listened to what I had to say and went over backwards to please me. This is a good company to do business with. I would like to change my review, but the conditions still exist with the unit and they are looking into solutions.

    Okay, sio I read lots of reviews and purchased this unit. Nice setup, seemed to work well testing it on the first weekend I put it up. Then it rained and the next weekend the display went bad. Called for service and now I am sendnign it back for a replacement with a $15 check to cover the shipping back to me. So already not too happy about having to pay the return shipping back to them, and $15 to have a replacement sent. Will be back to update this review when all said and done, but at this time I would caution all those looking at this product until I see how the Customer Service completes correcting this malfunction and test the replacement!

All have various kind of issues: blank picture, black picture, no picture other than test, pictures with size 0 that cannot open etc. This AKASO trail cam works the best at this price. Tested along with another Moultrie cam ($149.99) on opposite direction and compared both. This one doesn't take any blank pictures, didn't miss animal either. Sensor works perfect. Set up solution @12M, picture is about 2-3MB and quality is perfect. Would definitely recommend to friends.
